And so, with the arrival of the blossoms and the return of the birds comes the millionth time I've offered quotidian occurrences from nature as an introduction to some episode in my creative life in a manner which is meant to evoke promise and victory, and probably the five-hundred-thousandth time I've just as quickly backed away from this mode in a semi-committed shuffle of cheap pomo meta-commentary meant to evoke knowing good humour and self-recrimination both at once.

By which I mean to say Expensive Tissue is out! It saw its release at a gala event at The Lido in March and was accompanied by The Vengeance Trio's first video. I enjoyed making that video. Never done it before. Maybe I'll do another. I believe the marriage of song with dynamic images has an exciting future.

The point is that the record is out, and it's WELL WORTH THE WAIT! All the best people think so.

But don't just take our word for it. Have a listen for yourself...

The year is far from over and there's lots of things in the works including plenty of partying with Ghosts Of Christmases Past. D.O.A.? Oh, you mean the D.O.A. who are celebrating their fortieth (!) anniversary with support sets from Roots Roundup (yeah, THAT Roots Roundup) and Solo Ford? Jr. Gone Wild? You mean the Jr. Gone Wild who will be performing in Vancouver with The Vengeance Trio and whom I will be travelling to Edmonton to join for a complete performance of the Too Dumb To Quit album in October as part of the Up+Downtown Festival? And that won't be the only Edmontonian sojourn before the year's out! Oh, no! The Interstellar Rodeo has been good enough to invite me back to MC, and I couldn't be more pleased. Watch out, Europe. You're next...
